Point
releases are always free for existing customers of the current
major version. In other words, if you own 3.0 you can get
3.1, 3.2 etc. for free. Simply uninstall
i*write (Your
journal data will not be lost), download and install the
current version and enter your product key.
The
i*write evaluation
allows you to try out all features of the Standard
and Plus
Editions for 30 days. Should you decide not to buy the
program, the data you enter into
i*write will not be lost.
You can export all your data as files in Word-compatible rich
text format (.rtf).
The
Reference
Manual and User
Guide are included in the
i*write download. They are only provided
here as separate downloads as a convenient way for you to learn
more about i*write
without having to download the whole program.
The
full-text
search thesaurus is not a separate product. You cannot
browse it to look up words with current versions of
i*write (although we may
offer this possibility in the future). At present, the thesaurus
is only used by the full-text search engine (to look up synonyms
and related words if you select this option in the Advanced
Search dialog). However, this alone is such a powerful feature
for larger journals that we recommend using it if you're a
serious journal writer (not available in the Standard Edition).
i*write™
3.2
Professional journal writing for Windows
July 18, 2005: Symantec has checked our
product files and confirmed that there is no Trojan infection. The
false alarm will occur only with their signature file as of June 22,
2005. Newer versions have corrected the problem and will no longer
indicate the false alarm.
June 22, 2005: There will be a false Trojan
alarm when using Norton AntiVirus
with the latest update (June 22, 2005).
Our software is definitely not infected; this is a bug in Symantec's
software and has been reported to them. Unfortunately, there is
nothing we can do except hope Symantec
fixes the problem as soon as possible. In the meantime you can
either completely deactivate Norton AntiVirus (Not recommended) or
add the file iwr.exe to Norton's virus
exception list.
What Our Customers Have
To Say
"It's
just an awesome piece of software, one that you obviously put
a lot of work into and a lot of people don't. It's so
powerful, yet the interface is so intuitive it's easy to use.
You can quote me anytime, if you want to give my email address
and I'll talk to people."

"I
have just read the i*write user's guide, and every single one
of your four rules just hit the
nail on the head ... I know from
first-hand experience what is involved in searching through a
bunch of files put aside in forgotten
folders. So now I'm convinced that
i*write is what I need."
Once
you buy i*write you
will be emailed a product key which will either unlock the
Standard or the Plus Edition (No need to download the program
again). In other words, if you decide to buy the Plus Edition,
nothing will change in the program's features. However, if you buy
the Standard Edition, the Plus
Edition features will no longer be available.
